It started as a completely normal day.
I walked into the bathroom expecting nothing unusual, but something on the floor immediately caught my attention. At first glance, it looked like a tiny living creature curled up near the corner. It wasn’t moving much, but it definitely didn’t look like something that belonged there.
For a moment, I froze.
My imagination immediately started running wild. Was it some kind of insect? A worm? A parasite? Had it somehow gotten into the house through a drain or a crack in the wall?

Not wanting to get too close, I called my husband into the room. When he arrived, he stared at it for a few seconds before grabbing a tissue and carefully picking it up.
Even after getting a closer look, neither of us could figure out exactly what we were looking at.
For the next twenty minutes, we examined it from every angle, trying to solve the mystery.
